Since graduating in 2015, Tom has worked full-time within the NHS, building a respected clinical reputation while also becoming a familiar face on UK television.
Known for his clear, compassionate communication style, he has contributed expert medical insight across a range of daytime shows, including ITV’s This Morning as part of their Health Matters campaign, as well as Lorraine and regular features for BBC Morning Live.
In December 2025, Tom merged his two passions into one as he hosted a live segment for BBC Morning Live, taking to an ice rink to educate viewers on staying safe on the ice over the festive period.
A former international figure skater, he is also a professional ice dancer – and in 2019, he joined the cast of ITV’s Dancing on Ice. Skating alongside his wife and fellow pro Yebin Mok, Tom brought passion and artistic flair to the rink. He was partnered with Coronation Street star Lisa George, and together they captivated audiences all the way to the quarter finals, finishing in an impressive fifth place.
Tom continues to balance his medical career and broadcasting work using both his platform and his passion to make health topics more accessible and entertaining for all. Whether he’s breaking down complex health issues for morning TV viewers or performing daring routines on the ice, Dr Tom Naylor is redefining what it means to be a modern-day multi-hyphenate.
