Get to know Jay

She made history as the first disabled cast member to appear on the show and captivated the nation with her northern charm and unfiltered attitude toward living life with her disability. Throughout, she educated the nation while raising awareness by speaking candidly about her experiences as a person with a limb difference. This series was later nominated for a BAFTA Television Award and also longlisted at the NTAs.

The following year in 2024, Jay made history for a second time by landing a slot on the first disability-led female panel show, Unfiltered Women, for ITV and ITVX. Featuring alongside two other disabled public figures, the trio explored topics including dating with a disability, public attitudes towards the disabled community and travelling as a disabled person with promo for the show across This Morning and Ireland AM.

Jay received an award at the Power of Women 2024 in recognition of her advocacy work and was invited to a prestigious event at the House of Lords bringing together and recognising influential women. She also joined the Pride of Britain judging panel for their Regional Fundraiser of the Year 2024 award with ITV News.

She has grown a loyal following of over 250,000 and climbing – and has partnered with many leading brands including Primark, Mitchum, SHEIN, AO, Omaze UK and many more. She also supported Channel 4 across both the Paris 2024 Paralympics and their Alternative Christmas Message with Strictly champ Chris McCausland.

Jay continues supporting the limb difference community as a disability advocate, is a charity ambassador for Reach, the UKs leading limb difference charity and regularly works as a guest speaker sharing her own lived experiences.
