BBC broadcaster, journalist and live host Anna Jameson is a respected and recognisable voice in British broadcasting. With more than 15 years at the BBC, she has built a career spanning radio, television reporting and live event hosting. Anna previously spent over two and a half years presenting BBC Radio Manchester’s flagship Breakfast Show, where her engaging interview style and warm connection with audiences made her a firm favourite with listeners across Greater Manchester. She now works as a reporter for BBC North West Tonight, with her reports regularly featured nationally across BBC Breakfast and the BBC News at Six, while also providing cover across programmes on Radio 5 Live. Alongside her broadcasting work, Anna is an accomplished live event host, presenting award ceremonies, charity functions and major public events and festivals across the UK.

Get to know ANNA...
Anna is an experienced journalist, broadcaster and presenter whose career spans more than 15 years across the BBC, commercial radio and live event hosting. She began her broadcasting career in commercial radio, working with stations including Key 103 and Rock FM before joining the BBC, where she has since become a trusted and recognisable voice across radio and television.
Anna spent over two and a half years presenting BBC Radio Manchester’s flagship Breakfast Show, one of the most listened-to local radio programmes in the UK. During her time on the show she interviewed a wide range of high-profile guests including former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, former Leader of the Opposition Sir Keir Starmer and the late legendary broadcaster Sir Michael Parkinson. Her guest list also spans major figures from sport, music and entertainment including Eddie Hearn, Tommy Fury, Paris Fury, Richard Ashcroft, John Cooper Clarke, Perrie Edwards, Ella Toone, Keeley Hodgkinson, Steps, McFly, Geri Halliwell and the Manic Street Preachers.
Anna now works as a television reporter for BBC North West Tonight, where she covers investigations, breaking news and on-the-day reports from across the region. Her work regularly appears on BBC Breakfast and the BBC News at Six, reaching audiences across the UK. She has reported on a number of major national and regional stories including the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the Manchester Arena attack, the COVID-19 pandemic, the near collapse of the Whaley Bridge dam, the moorland fires across the North West, the expulsion of Bury FC from the English Football League and the Southport riots.
Alongside her television reporting, Anna is also a regular stand-in presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live, covering programmes including Breakfast, Drive and overnight shows.
An accomplished and highly experienced live event host, Anna regularly presents award ceremonies, panel discussions, festivals, charity events and corporate functions, bringing the same professionalism and warmth she is known for on air to audiences on stage. Her event hosting includes the Manchester Food and Drink Awards, the Manchester Christmas Lights Switch-On and the We Invented the Weekend Festival, as well as red carpet hosting at events such as the British Soap Awards and the National Lottery Awards. She is also the stadium announcer for rugby league champions Wigan Warriors, delivering match day announcements for one of the sport’s most successful clubs.
Beyond broadcasting and hosting, Anna is passionate about community and charity work. She has completed several fundraising challenges for BBC’s Children in Need.
