Clair began her acting career when she joined the cast of BBC’s long-running serial drama EastEnders in 2017 as Bernadette Taylor. Introduced as part of the Taylor family, the character quickly became a familiar and much-loved presence within the show’s ensemble, with Clair portraying Bernadette across more than eight years.
During her time on the series, she brought depth and sensitivity to a number of powerful and socially resonant storylines. These included Bernadette’s miscarriage, her journey of self-discovery as she came out as a lesbian, navigating surrogacy, and later exploring a more complex and rebellious side of the character as part of a darker storyline arc.
Alongside her work on EastEnders, Clair has continued to expand her acting portfolio across other television projects. Her credits include ITVX’s teen drama Tell Me Everything and the Sky comedy Bloods, reflecting her ability to move between both drama and comedy.
In 2022 Clair stepped into the role of presenter when she fronted the BBC Panorama documentary Obesity: Who Cares If I’m Bigger?. The film explored the stigma surrounding weight and questioned how society and government policy approach obesity, with Clair speaking candidly about her own experiences while meeting others affected by similar challenges.
Beyond her acting and presenting work, Clair has become a passionate advocate for body positivity and inclusive fashion. Through her social media platforms she connects with a highly engaged audience of over 171K across Instagram and TikTok, sharing fashion inspiration, personal insights and empowering messages that encourage others to embrace confidence and individuality.
